About Marianne Schulze
Dr. Marianne Schulze, LL.M., is an Australian-Austrian human rights expert and a Member of the Board of the Federation Global Initiative on Psychiatry. She studied law at the University of Sydney, Australia, the University of Vienna, Austria and international human rights at the University of Notre Dame, USA.
She was a co-negotiator of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities for a NGO consortium. Her publications include the e-book “Understanding the CRPD, A Handbook on the Human Rights of Persons with Disabilities,” available in English, French, Chinese and Arabic. With Professor Maya Sabatello she co-edited “Human Rights and Disability Advocacy” (UPenn) a negotiation account by self-advocates. A member emerita of the Advisory Panel of the EU Fundamental Rights Agency Platform, she currently chairs the Board of Salzburg University.
