The forum for exploring key developments and emerging trends in mental health care.
The 3rd Rethinking Mental Health Care Conference focuses on the growing awareness that the burden on the immediate environment of a person with mental health issues is often difficult to bear and has largely been overlooked, even though their involvement is a key element in recovery pathways.
Modern technology has also greatly contributed to supporting carers in their work and alleviating this burden by providing tools for self-help and external support.
The war in Ukraine has once again shown that, in the case of military personnel returning from deployment, the role of family and the immediate social environment is crucial in combating and preventing long-term psychological effects. A deep understanding of human rights should guide us at every step in providing services and addressing the needs of our target populations.
The conference will focus on four interrelated themes driving progress in global mental health care:
Together, these themes reflect a shared commitment to strengthening support for carers, veterans, and their families, while using technology to enhance mental health care and extend its reach to underserved populations.
